The Three Kings is a light-hearted look at what we think we know about them – how many of them were there, were they men or women or both, or actually kings? Where did they come from? Why do they feature in our Nativity plays and crib scenes, when the Bible makes no mention of them being there? And where did the idea that they were wise come from? After all, divulging the timing of the birth of Jesus to homicidal Herod, prompting him to order the massacre of the innocents in Bethlehem – well, that wasn’t too smart was it?
